Harvest Swap
My swap partner for the Harvest swap that Char hosted was Rondell. It was very exciting opening the box and pulling out all the goodies. Three little pumpkins that smell wonderful, a bag of leaves for fall decorating, three boxes nestled inside each other and the Give Thanks and pumpkin stitchery's (is that a word?) and a framed picture of a house and quilt. Thanks Rondell for everything!
Wild Horses are keeping me from my sewing machine.

Birthday Weekend
Jaime celebrated her 9th birthday with friends they had pizza, brownie cupcakes and than played mini golf. They had a lot of fun and were very loud for only four girls.
You can't imagine how many times they were fishing the golf balls out of the water!
Kaitlyn had a Tea Party and invited her friends over, she made sandwiches and the cake, she also served chips and dip, fruit and veggies and lots of candy. She asked all the girls to wear a dress and they did one showed up in jeans and changed here. They made flower pens and a few tissue paper flowers (Amy ran off with all the tissue paper before the party and we had to dig paper out of gift bags to make the flowers). These girls were pretty quiet compared to Jaime's party.
Kaitlyn had a Tea Party for her 7th birthday party so she was reliving it for her 18th. Two of her friends attended both parties. I was able to find one picture on the computer so here it is eleven years ago Kaitlyn and Samantha.
Last but not least a party for both at Grandma and Grandpa. I'm glad the weekend is over. Jaime was born on the 12th and Kaitlyn the 13th so they are one day shy of 9 years apart.

I've changed my blog layout and added a different background, I think I like the look of it. Next on my list is to create a new header.
I've had this rack for years and was going to get rid of it and decided to paint it and hang it in the bathroom. Jim told me I should have painted it in the driveway. Ha I didn't notice till later I missed the paper and our table has red spots on it.
My SIL picked up some wooden shutters for me awhile back and I painted this one white and than applied dark stain all over, it turned out pretty good.
Jim found this turtle a couple weeks ago in the street and brought it home for Jaime. We've been planning on letting it go outside (actually talking Jaime into agreeing to let it go). It walks around the house without a care in the world and will disappear for a day at a time, right now it's been missing for two days. We've looked everywhere for it and can't find it, we did leave the back door open but it'd have to go down at least 10 steps to get to freedom. Where are you Mr. Turtle?
We have two birthdays this weekend Jaime turns 9 on Saturday and Kaitlyn turns 18 Sunday. I also have two fall swaps that I need to finish up and get in the mail. I need to get off the computer and get busy.
