Mom's Day at Kappa Delta with Kaitlyn
Sweet Liberty Swap
Cindi and I both sent fireworks to each other!
I started with this Old Glory stitching, wasn't sure how I was going to finish it, I kept playing around with it till I liked something. I added hangers and attached it to a branch so it could hang, I meant to tea stain it but forgot. You can see the finished project in the above picture. Sometimes I think I know how I'm going to finish something but after I'm in the project they seem to take a different turn. Does that happen to you ?

Mad Hatter Mother/Daughter Girl Scout Tea Party
Our Girl Scout Troop hosted a Mad Hatter Mother Daughter Tea Party. The girls made cucumber sandwiches and turkey sandwiches. We also had veggie trays, pretzels and popcorn. A Mom to two of the Brownies made the yummy cupcakes. We had activities set up for the moms and daughters: the build a house of cards, flamingo golf, guess what your mom/daughter would choose and the photo booth. The big hit was the craft table to make picture frames for the pictures. On each table were a packet of games to play while waiting, word search or crossword and a few coloring pages. We also played a game where the package was passed around to the person who fit the description read. We ended with door prize drawings.

Swap Package
I received my envelope swap from Cynthia and she filled it with all these goodies! She made this Grubby angel hanging, patriotic cards, note pad and she bought the bunny and added on to it.
Thanks Cynthia it was a fun swap. Thanks to Tammy for hosting the swap.
I love this little bag and hope to make one for me to keep. I use to cross stitch years and years ago, the more kids I added to our family the harder it was to start and stop and remember what I was doing. I've been doing a little more but I can't cross stitch at night, I didn't count very good and ended up making the box around the stitching first (why I don't know) when I finished the W I realized the S was not going to fit, so I had to rip that whole side out. I did get it done and it doesn't look too bad. The pattern was a free from http://primitivebettys.blogspot.com .
Below are the goodies I sent to Cynthia--

I also made my own mailing envelope from a Trader Joe's Bag and yes I found it on Pinterest.
