Pinned it, Made it! Monday

Jaime loves Adventure Time and when I saw this pin to make these ornaments, I knew I had to make her one. She told me her class was bringing in cartoon characters for a wreath they were making, so I made the Jake the dog. Now I need to make another one for her along with Finn.

I'm linking up with Tammy over at Country Girl at Home, make sure you see what everybody else is making.

KCAP Ornament Swap

I'm really sad I didn't take pictures of the actual swap. We have so much fun getting together, eating talking and looking at all the ornaments. I was in 4 of the 5 swaps. I love to see all the different ideas everybody comes up with each year. This swap was the smoothest one so far, so I guess after 7 years we finally got it down. I debated whether to take Amy out of school since she has been to all the other swaps and would love to see her friends. Jim dropped her off and she was so excited and glad to see friends that we don't see as often since she's in school now.

Ornaments, Ornaments, Ornaments

                Group 1

          Group 2
            Group 3

            Group 5

This is the 7th year for our local attachment parenting group ornament swap. There are five groups this year and I actually only signed up for four. Tomorrow is the big day for our swap and I actually have all my ornaments done and don't feel like a crazy person, tomorrow might be different, but I'll have help setting the tables up and everybody pretty much knows whats going on by now. I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends, since we're all over the metro area there are some that I don't see as often as others.

Gingerbread Swap

These goodies came all the way from Canada. Francine of   Primitive Stars was my swap partner in Amy's Gingerbread Swap. The package smelled wonderful from the apple melts. The snowangel is so cute, I love the material, it reminds of some material when I was a kid. The gingerbread man is adorable and so squishy. She also sent a Christmas towel, funny napkins, flag ornie and the home comfort sign. Thanks Francine, I love my swap items!

I have an ornament swap coming up soon with a local parenting forum I'm on.  I need to come up with 4 ornament ideas I started looking through my pinned ornaments, I found a star I pinned but not a tutorial or a pattern. So I looked up star ornaments and found this one. I used Christmas material I had on hand and buttons. I used a star pattern I found in one of my Christmas books.

I'm going to make me up some prim ones with bells and a little grunge. These were fun and easy ornaments to make.    Make sure to check out what everybody is making at Country Girl at Home.

Here's a sneak peek at another set of ornaments. These gingerbread men are soaking in homemade liquid starch. They still need some work done to them.
