Swapping with myself this month

Last year I missed the valentine swap and this year it's not happening so I decided I'm making my own swap with a deadline.
One of the items I'm making is this cute clove heart.

The page doesn't link but it's from blessinghillprimitives.com

I've been wanting to make these for at least a year. I bought two little jars of cloves at Christmas time but I need to find a good bulk place to buy them. I wanted to make them for a swap but didn't.

I also want to make a stitchery from The Primitive Hare

I loved reading the Simply Prim blog, I sure miss her writing it.

prim valentine hearts (choosemoose.com)
I think I'm going to make at least one of these to add to my bowl with hearts in it.

I really like these hearts. I have squares sitting around looks like you sew four together and then cut out a heart. My link to this didn't link to anything.

I need something taller to balance out my mantle.

I think I'll make valentine pinwheels, why didn't I think of that sooner. I've made them in patriotic material and Christmas material and used as ornaments. I could also make yoyos and put them on sticks for a little height. What I really want to do is make a a bigger stitchery for a frame I have, just need to find something to put in it.
I better get started soon.

I have springs and hearts need to dig them out.

I also like this heart with candle light, it linked to ebay but not to the seller.

This is from A Fine Farmhouse but didn't directly link

I love this little guy he also was from ebay but no longer links

I think I'm make this into a sampler, I have a nice size picture frame that will work.

I also like this simple heart could be a bigger stitchery.

It's beginning to look like Valentine's Day!

I made this last year, with muslin and paint. I added the crow which was from a swap. I still think it needs something else.

This sweet stitchery was from another swap. I made the heart in front.

Bowl of hearts some I made and others from swaps.

This sifter was from my Christmas swap with Jessica. I replace all the Christmas stuff with hearts.

This stump doll was from Jessica too, I moved the candy cane around to the back.

This stitchery was from another swap, I think it was from Cynthia.

I stitched this one up.

These two were from two different swaps.

Thanks for looking!!

And so it goes

7th Birthday Tea Party with Samantha

18th B-day Tea Party

Friday morning my 23 yr old daughter left Kansas headed to Wisconsin. We've had some cold weather these last few days to help her get into the cold of Madison. We are very excited for her and also sad, instead of being away at K-State a two hour drive she'll be eight hours away. She'll be working at Land's End. I know I've said this before but it so true "The days are long but the years are short". We were a mess when she left for college but we knew she'd be home for the summer and winter break. I feel like a big baby crying every so often knowing she won't be home for the summer, I'm sure everyday it will get easier (I hope so).I know I'm not the only one missing their child when they move away. How do you do it?

With kids/sisters, it seem everybody is complaining about something the other one is doing? So when that's not happening it makes your heart happy. Over the holidays we were driving home and all the girls were singing along to the Christmas songs on the radio.
