Pinned it, Made it Monday

I've been wanting to make a picnic blanket, I saw on Pinterest (I didn't add the ties). Years ago I made a blue jean quilt, no backing, no binding, we used it for all sports events but if the ground was wet so were we. I found the tablecloth material in the remnants at JoAnn's. The squares are from a quilt square swap from the La Leche League 50th Anniversary Conference in 2007 that was held in Chicago. I have a few left over that I'll use with some other LLL memorabilia and make a small quilt or wall hanging or who knows what I might come up with in the meantime.  I used 4 squares across and 5 down,  I ended up cutting some squares in fourths to make it match the size of the backing,  I used embroidery floss to tie the quilt.  I'm linking up with Tammy at Country Girl at Home.

Luna was following me around while I was taking pictures. Have a great Monday!

Allison, love this picnic blanket. I've also been wanting to do a blue jean quilt, with the thinner materials. It's good to have something that is versatile and sturdy like jeans. Thanks for sharing!

I love it Allison! We need something like that for our homeschool field trips! Yours turned out really nice!

So is the backing a vinyl material or regular fabric?

Thanks for participating in Pinned it Made it Monday!

Have a great day!
